Welcome to the Switch 2 Game Database! I started this site as a simple "nights and weekends" project to learn more about coding, next.js, CSS and hosting. I'm not a developer by trade, so it's by no means perfect! Hope you enjoy.

About the Data
The initial data pull comes from the Internet Games Database (IGDB) with curated manual overrides to ensure accuracy and completeness. For example, sometimes the returned genre doesn't feel like a great match. I'd characterize The Legend of Zelda games as "Adventure," but IGDB returned "Puzzle". That said, there's still an element of manual curation. If a game is missing, or a genre doesn't feel right, you are welcome to submit a request to change. :) Because I'm not a pro, adding games is still a manual process. I'll aim to update the site 1x a week.
About Me
👋 I'm Tom Tate. I've been a Nintendo fanatic since our family got a Nintendo Entertainment System in February, 1990! I started a Nintendo Power magazine podcast in 2016, but went on a hiatus to focus on my day job and raising my kids. I'm now back in 2025 with a new show, Me, You, and Switch 2 - A Nintendo Switch 2 News Podcast. I've been super excited for the release of the Switch 2, and it's been a blast keeping up with the latest news and releases.
